Want to put together a ladybug party for your little girl, or yourself? There are a number of options available in this theme, as well as a number of items available in the different patterns.
I found several basic color schemes for ladybug party supplies. The tradition red and black comes in these formats:
- a red and black ladybug that takes up the whole plate
- a red and black ladybug on a green background
- a red and black ladybug on a white and red background
- a red and black ladybug sitting on a sunflower in a flower garden
For those with a less traditional point of view:
- a pink ladybug with purple spots on a blue background
- a strange half bee/half ladybug. The body is black and green stripes and the wings are pink with black spots, on a green background with a pink edge.
Once you choose you ladybug, some or all of the following items will be available:
- invitations
- a table cover or place mats
- large and small plates
- cups
- two sizes of napkins
- centerpiece
- wall decals
- balloons
- food picks
- ladybug cake pan
- ladybug cake candles
For the party attendees, consider:
- headbands with antennae or tiaras
- hats
- blow-outs
- bean bags
- key chains
- stickers
- plastic ladybugs
- favor boxes
For activities, make your own pin the antennae on the ladybug game, get a ladybug pinata, or get red and black face paints to put ladybugs on all the party attendees. Or you could use a white paper table cloth and have washable paints (with lots of red and black) so everyone could paint their own ladybugs and flowers on the table cloth.
And finally, there are ladybug thank you notes to send after the party, if needed.
If you use even half of the ladybug items available, this ladybug party will be one to remember. Hope you and your little girl have a good time
